Practitioners write notes the library publishes under their name. Each published note earns a free Full Analysis; five in a month earn a free month of the Angel plan (or $299 off your next bill if you are on a paid plan that will renew).

Who can contribute

Any member can pitch a note: investors, operators, founders and analysts who have seen something first-hand and can show their work. You need an Early Capital AI account to pitch. Sign up if you don't have one yet. Members pitch with the Pitch a note button on the research library in their workspace.

A good pitch has:

  • One idea you can say in a sentence, and the reason it matters to an investor reading a deck.
  • Something you have seen yourself: a pattern across deals, a number you rebuilt, a mistake you would warn a friend about.
  • Evidence we can check: sources, figures and a worked example, not opinion alone.
  • Plain English, written for people who read decks for a living.

What you earn

What you earn depends on how many of your notes go live in a month. A note counts in the month it goes live on the library, not the month you sent it. Months are calendar months in UTC.

  • Each published note earns 1 Full Analysis credit.
  • 5 notes in a month earn the Angel month instead of 5 credits. Each note after that adds 1 credit.
  • The Angel month: if you don't have a paid plan, you get the Angel plan for that month, with its 10 Full Analysis credits and the Angel plan badge. It never renews and you are never charged. If you already pay for a plan that will renew, you get $299 off your next bill instead. If your plan is ending, past due or unpaid, you get the free Angel month instead.
  • Reward credits are spent first, before credits you bought, because they expire.
  • Rewards arrive on the 1st of the next month (or shortly after). Credits and the Angel month are valid until the last day of that month. The $299 credit is not tied to the end of the month: it stays on your account until your next bill uses it. The count starts again at zero on the 1st.

Editorial review

Early Capital chooses what to publish. We may edit a note for length, clarity and accuracy, and you approve the final text before it goes live. Rewards are for notes that are published.

Conflicts

Declare any stake in, or role at, a company your note names: shares, options, a job, a board or advisory seat. Say so when you pitch.

Rights

You keep the copyright in your note. You give Early Capital AI a permanent, worldwide right to publish it, to edit it as described above, and to show it on its site and in its emails.

Republishing

You can share the link or an excerpt any time. A full copy elsewhere (Substack, LinkedIn, Medium and the like) can go up 14 days after the note is published, and must say “First published on Early Capital AI” with a link to the note.

Disclosure

You are rewarded by Early Capital (credits, a free Angel month or a bill credit). When you promote Early Capital AI itself, not just your own note, say that you write for it.
