01Who we are
Early Capital Group Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, is the data controller for personal data processed through Early Capital Ventures. For any privacy question or request, contact assistant@earlycapitalgroup.com.
02What we collect
- Account data — your email address, name, and authentication details. Workspace sign-in uses a password and requires email confirmation. Passwords are stored as hashes; confirmation and password-reset emails are delivered through Resend.
- Payment data — handled by Stripe. We receive transaction and subscription status, but never your full card number.
- Uploaded content — the pitch decks and materials you submit for analysis, and the dossiers we generate from them.
- Usage and metadata — analysis records (target name, sector, status, timestamps), and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Mailing-list data — if you subscribe to our research updates, the email address you provide.
03How we use your data
- to provide the Service — analysing your decks and delivering dossiers;
- to operate your account, process payments, and enforce plan quotas;
- to communicate with you about your analyses, account, and support requests;
- to send research updates if you opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime);
- to secure, debug, and improve the Service, and to comply with law.
04AI processing and training
Dossiers are produced by language-model agents. We send your uploaded content to our model and pipeline providers solely to generate your dossier, on an inference-only basis. Neither we nor our providers use your uploaded content to train models.
05Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the sub-processors needed to run the Service, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Convex — workspace database and uploaded files, in the Ireland deployment;
- Convex Auth — password authentication, sessions and email-confirmation management within our Convex backend;
- Resend — confirmation and password-reset email delivery;
- Supabase — legacy site features;
- Model and pipeline providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and LlamaIndex) — to generate dossiers;
- professional advisers or authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service.
We do not introduce founders to investors or share your uploaded decks for any purpose other than producing your dossier.
06How long we keep it
- Uploaded decks saved to your account are kept for your workspace. Unclaimed uploads expire after 24 hours and are removed by the next hourly cleanup.
- Analysis metadata and dossiers are retained so your history remains available in your workspace. Contact support to request content deletion or account closure.
- Account and billing records are retained as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.
07Where your data is stored and how it's protected
Your data is hosted with our infrastructure providers and protected with the technical and organisational controls described on the security page, including encryption in transit and at rest and strict access controls. Because our providers operate globally, your data may be processed in countries outside your own; where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
08Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and, where it applies, the GDPR), you may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email assistant@earlycapitalgroup.com. You may also request deletion through support.
09Cookies
We use only the cookies essential to operate the Service — primarily to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10Children
The Service is intended for professional investors and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
